SHOW GARDENS BUILT WITH REAL WORLD CRAFTSMANSHIP

Show gardens are where landscaping gets put under a spotlight. Deadlines are fixed, details matter, and every finish is on display. It’s a different environment from a private garden, but the same care, precision and build quality still apply.
At JG Landscaping Ltd, we work alongside designers, sponsors and show teams to construct show gardens that are built properly and ready for the demands of a live show setting.
Below is a selection of award-winning show gardens we’ve helped bring to life, including projects at RHS Malvern Spring Festival and BBC Gardeners’ World Live. Each one reflects a different brief, style and challenge, but all share the same attention to detail and build standards.

RHS MALVERN SHOW GARDEN

THE HOMEAWAY GARDEN (RHS MALVERN 2023)

SILVER GILT AWARD
Built for the RHS Malvern Flower Show 2023, The HomeAway Garden delivered a calm, coastal feel with crisp structure and thoughtful detailing throughout. The space features balanced natural stone, defined pathways, and layered planting, creating a garden that feels both welcoming and show-ready.
This project received a Silver Gilt Medal at RHS Malvern. Our role focused on construction and build quality, working closely with the wider team to deliver a clean finish under show conditions.

GREEN ISLANDS (RHS MALVERN 2024)

BRONZE AWARD
Green Islands explored the idea that people and nature are connected, using sculptural forms, reflective water, and carefully chosen materials to create a striking, thought-provoking space. The build combined clean lines with textured finishes, creating impact from every angle.
This garden won a Bronze Medal at RHS Malvern 2024. Our team of garden landscapers built the garden, working with the design team and suppliers to deliver the structure, surfaces and overall showground finish.

Maindee Unlimited: The Greening Maindee Gateway Garden
(RHS 2025)

SILVER AWARD
This garden showed how overlooked spaces can become greener, safer and more welcoming. Curved seating, textured gabion features and layered planting softened the routes through the space, with a bold mural backdrop adding character and colour.
This was a community-led concept brought to life through collaboration. Our role focused on build delivery and practical construction, helping the garden come together cleanly and safely, ready for show conditions and public footfall.
The garden was designed to transform a prominent but neglected road junction into a welcoming gateway for the Maindee neighbourhood centre in Newport. It was co-created with the community-led charity Maindee Unlimited and their volunteer team, Greening Maindee, who focus on turning underused spaces into greener, safer places for people and wildlife.

The Blessings from the Sea (RHS 2026)

SILVER & Best Construction AWARD
The Blessings from the Sea presents the story of Chollipo Arboretum, Korea’s first private arboretum, founded by Carl Ferris Miller, who transformed barren coastal land into a thriving botanical sanctuary.  
The garden offers a contemporary interpretation of this landscape through dune and coastal planting, a traditionaldoksal,and a sustainably built pavilion inspired by the Koreanhanok.
Together, these elements introduce a distinctive Korean landscape to British audiences and convey a powerful message of resilience, respect for nature, and finding blessings even in the most challenging environments.

NOTES FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN (BBC GARDENERS’ WORLD LIVE 2024)

GOLD AWARD AND PEOPLE’S CHOICE BEST SHOW GARDEN
Warm tones, natural stone textures and drought-tolerant planting gave this garden a relaxed Mediterranean feel, while keeping it practical for the UK climate. Terracotta and soft, sunbaked colours were paired with structural elements that created flow and rhythm through the space.
This beautiful garden won Gold and People’s Choice Best Show Garden at BBC Gardeners World Live 2024. Our team of garden landscapers handled the construction, working to tight deadlines and delivering a crisp, high-quality finish throughout.

THE WALLACE LINE GARDEN (BBC GARDENERS’ WORLD LIVE 2025)

SILVER AWARD
The Wallace Line Garden used a central canal as a visual divide between two distinct planting styles, inspired by Alfred Russel Wallace’s observations in the Malay Archipelago. On one side, lush jungle-style planting. On the other hand, the savannah and desert show how two ecosystems can sit side by side in one space.
Our team constructed the garden as part of a wider team effort, collaborating with specialist fabricators, artists and planting teams to deliver a sharp finish. It’s a strong example of how design intent, build craft, and coordination come together when deadlines are fixed and standards are high.
